April 13th, 2007Saw this while on vacation. I like they way the lines in the sign mimic the lines of the trees. It’s a gloriously messy image, too. Taken in the parking lot of Buschlen Mowatt Gallery.
About
April 13th, 2007This is the online sketchbook of Noah Nakell. Not to be taken too seriously. Just a place for me to store ideas and images I’m interested in. Follow along if you desire.
I have a portfolio online at http://www.noahnakell.com/ where you can see finished work.
Here’s my bio, in case you’re wondering…
Noah Nakell is a sculptor based in Portland, Oregon. He creates small scale, intimate works which explore the concept of human fragility and our relationship with the natural world. The scale and narrative characteristics of his sculptures bring to mind dioramas found in history museums. Nakell’s work incorporates a variety of materials, including polymer clay, found plant matter and model making supplies, utilizing them in unconventional ways.
Noah received a B.F.A. from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington and has exhibited across the Pacific Northwest. He is currently represented by Beppu Wiarda Gallery in Portland, Oregon.
